Light is a natural agent that makes all things visible and
a way that makes things present itself, bring it to mind
.
Refuting Newton's corpuscular theory, light consists of
infinitely small particles passing through space at a high rate of speed.
The motion is vibratory and travels at a rate of 186,000 miles per second !

Being a form of energy, LIGHT ...... thus ..... brings life.

Therefore, WE ARE made of this element traveling throught space and
time with the idea that we [ as human spirits ] shall go on indefinitely
and never come to end.

An introduction about the photographer.

PAINTING with LIGHT © is a photographic rendering of nature, human interest and landscapes along with
emphasis on historical sites in our province of British Columbia, Canada.
Various camera and computer techniques were employed to create this fine presentation.
Gary Trent, a photographer and talented artist and musician, has resided in
Grand Forks for some 32 years.

Born and raised in the Fraser Valley of British Columbia, he spends his time taking photographs
while he has also travelled Canada and the USA as a performing musician.
Although progressively self-taught, Gary enhenced his natural talent through
attending the Emily Carr School of Art in Vancouver and various photographic courses and projects.

Several exhibitions at the Grand Forks Art Gallery, country fairs, art events, one man shows and the
B.C. Festival of the Arts, have been attended and awarded along with displays in his own gallery, Art Effects.

Many of his works presently hang in private homes locally and around the world.

The contents in Gary's collection reflects an expertise of a life-long love for his photography.
His art expresses a heritage value for future archival presentation.
